These companiCARU Containers New Productiones were specialized in container sales, renting and leasing. After the merger CARU grew to become a worldwide company in container sales, renting and leasing, gradually adding offices in Belgium, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and the USA. As from 2007 CARU was one of the 15 largest container leasing companies in the world.

Further growth was inevitable and in 2008, CARU Containers merged with Schouten Container Services in Moerdijk.

Schouten Container Services (SCS) was established in the 70's in Alphen aan den Rijn (NL) as a container trading company. Through the years, SCS expanded their activities to include domestic rental, road transport, office units, modifications and tailor making containers. In 1993 SCS moved their office and central depot to Moerdijk. From here, they grew into a market leader in domestic container sales and rentals in the Benelux and Germany.
